Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Service Engineer role based in Hyderabad.

The Field Service

Engineer will install, commission, and calibrate laboratory and scientific equipment at customer locations, ensuring proper configuration and performance. The role involves performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and carrying out repairs or coordinating with manufacturers for advanced support. The engineer will provide user training on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting, while documenting service activities, maintenance reports, and parts usage accurately. Day-to-day work includes traveling to customer sites,



responding to service calls within agreed timelines, supporting sales and application teams with technical input, and maintaining strong, skilled relationships with customers to ensure high service quality and satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong technical and diagnostic skills in installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of laboratory or scientific equipment.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of electronics, instrumentation, and basic mechanical systems, with the ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in documenting service activities, preparing reports, and using standard office and service management software tools.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills to explain technical issues clearly, train users, and maintain professional relationships.
- Candidates should possess good time management and organizational skills to plan site visits, prioritize service calls, and work independently in the field.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical) or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- Prior experience as a field service engineer or service technician in laboratory, medical, or scientific equipment will be an advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region, hold a valid driving license if required, and adhere to safety and compliance standards at customer facilities.
