Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Jaisalmer.

The Electrical

Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing electrical systems and equipment used in cement manufacturing, including power distribution networks, motors, drives, and control panels. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, troubleshooting electrical issues, coordinating preventive and predictive maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The role involves collaborating with operations, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to improve plant reliability, energy efficiency, and production continuity.

Engineer will also support the implementation of new projects, upgrades, and technology improvements, including documentation and reporting of technical activities.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core Electrical Engineering concepts, including Electricity and Power Systems, with the ability to apply them in an industrial environment.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design for industrial plants, including layout, equipment selection, protection schemes, and compliance with relevant standards.
- Hands-on experience with Power Distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and associated protection and control devices.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Experience in heavy industry, process plants, or manufacturing (cement industry experience is an advantage).
- Knowledge of safety regulations, electrical codes, and best practices for working with high- and low-voltage equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation; familiarity with CAD or relevant engineering software is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and uptime.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams in an on-site plant environment.
