EPLAN Designer
Role & Responsibilities
- Electrical design using EPLAN for industrial automation and electrical control systems.
- Prepare detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control circuit diagrams, and panel layouts.
- Create and maintain Electrical BOMs, cable schedules, terminal plans, and technical documentation.
- Design electrical control panels, MCC panels, PLC panels, junction boxes, and related industrial electrical systems.
- Select suitable electrical components such as MCBs, contactors, relays, terminals, power supplies, PLC modules, cables, connectors, and control devices.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Production, and Fabrication teams for proper implementation of designs.
- Provide technical support and resolve design-related issues during panel manufacturing, wiring, installation, commissioning, and production.
- Review and modify electrical drawings based on project requirements and customer feedback.
- Prepare electrical documentation required for manufacturing, assembly, installation, and project execution.
- Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for electrical component selection, technical discussions, drawings, and procurement support.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to production and project teams.
- Travel to customer sites, suppliers,
and project locations as required for installation, commissioning, and technical support.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.E. in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Electrical Design, preferably in industrial automation, control panels, machine manufacturing, SPM, or system integration.
- EPLAN experience is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in electrical panel design, wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and electrical documentation.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical panels and control systems.
- Good understanding of electrical components, wiring practices, cable selection, terminals, and control circuits.
- Experience in preparing Electrical BOMs and technical documentation.
- Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
