Job Title: Electrical & Automation Engineer Machine Commissioning

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Automation Engineer responsible for electrical integration, machine commissioning, PLC programming, vendor coordination, electrical BOM and procurement, and post-commissioning support across plant locations.

The role will involve working closely with machine builders, external electrical panel vendors, plant teams, production, maintenance, and project teams to ensure successful installation and commissioning of machines within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect and validate electrical control panels manufactured in-house or by external vendors, ensuring compliance with approved electrical drawings, specifications, BOM, and quality standards.
- Take complete responsibility for electrical installation, integration, and commissioning of machines at various plant locations.
- Coordinate with machine suppliers, electrical panel vendors, contractors, and plant teams for smooth execution of machine installation and commissioning activities.
- Provide breakdown and technical support at plant locations, including urgent site visits whenever required.
- Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and validate PLC programs at site based on machine requirements and commissioning needs.




- Troubleshoot electrical, automation, PLC, sensor, actuator, control panel, and machine integration-related issues during installation and commissioning.
- Prepare and validate Electrical BOMs and ensure timely ordering/procurement of electrical components, automation parts, cables, sensors, control devices, etc.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, and project teams to ensure material availability as per the project schedule.
- Monitor material receipt and availability at site and proactively address any delays that may impact project timelines.
- Ensure complete electrical integration of machines, including control panels, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, drives, motors, safety circuits, and associated electrical systems.
- Ensure electrical systems and machine automation comply with applicable safety, quality, and engineering standards.
- Maintain proper documentation related to electrical BOM, purchase requirements, technical specifications, vendor documents, and project records, while adhering to applicable financial and procurement processes.
- Prepare and maintain machine electrical/operation manuals, technical documentation, and commissioning records.
- Provide post-commissioning technical support to the respective plant until the machine is successfully handed over to the Production/Maintenance team.
- Coordinate with plant stakeholders to identify and close all pending technical and operational issues after commissioning.




- Track and ensure timely closure of MOM (Minutes of Meeting) action points raised during machine commissioning and post-commissioning stages.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machine automation, digitisation, Industry 4.0, data collection, connectivity, and smart manufacturing.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digitalisation to improve machine productivity, reliability, traceability, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure smooth handover of commissioned machines to the respective plant teams along with all required documentation and technical records.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in machine building, machine commissioning, industrial automation, manufacturing, or automotive manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience in PLC programming, electrical panel inspection, machine integration, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel to different plant locations for machine commissioning and breakdown/technical support.
- Solid coordination skills with machine builders, electrical vendors, procurement teams, and plant stakeholders.

Educational Qualification B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Instrumentation / Automation Engineering or equivalent.
