About Foundlogue
Foundlogue is a founder-focused media platform being built around one simple belief:
Every founder has a prologue.
While most startup publications cover funding, investors, deals, events and startup news, Foundlogue will focus entirely on the people behind the companies .
We want to document how founders actually became founders — their backgrounds, the first spark of an idea, early struggles, first customers, failures, turning points and the journey through which an idea eventually became a brand.
Our content will include
- Long-form founder stories
- Founder interviews
- Founder journey roadmaps
- Podcasts and video conversations
- Short-form editorial and social content
- Curated founder insights and lessons
The long-term goal is to build a distinctive media brand and a growing archive of entrepreneurial journeys.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief who can take ownership of the editorial side of Foundlogue and help build the publication from its earliest stage.
This is not a conventional content-writing role.
You will have the opportunity to define the editorial voice, storytelling standards and content philosophy of a new publication while working directly with founders and entrepreneurs.
You will work closely with the Founder & Publisher, who will take responsibility for the business, technology, design, operations, partnerships and financial requirements of building the platform.
Your Role
As Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief , you will lead Foundlogue's editorial function.
Your responsibilities will include
- Define and evolve Foundlogue's editorial voice and storytelling style
- Identify founders whose journeys are worth documenting
- Develop structured founder interview frameworks
- Interview founders and uncover stories beyond standard PR narratives
- Turn interviews and transcripts into compelling long-form stories
- Review and edit AI-assisted drafts while ensuring originality, accuracy and journalistic quality
- Fact-check stories, dates, milestones, quotations and claims
- Build and manage the editorial calendar
- Guide interns, writers and interviewers as the team grows
- Maintain consistency across all published founder stories
- Help develop the Foundlogue Podcast and video interview formats
- Select compelling excerpts, quotes and insights for social distribution
- Establish editorial ethics and standards
- Work with the design team on founder roadmaps and visual storytelling
- Help Foundlogue develop distinctive recurring editorial formats and series
Who We're Looking For You could be a strong fit if you have experience or a serious background in:
- Journalism
- Editorial writing
- Long-form storytelling
- Business or startup writing
- Magazine or digital publishing
- Content strategy
- Founder interviews
- Podcasting or video interviews
What You Bring
- Strong English writing and editing skills
- Excellent interviewing and listening ability
- Ability to turn conversations into compelling narratives
- Solid editorial judgment
- Attention to factual accuracy
- Curiosity about entrepreneurship and business
- Comfort working with AI-assisted editorial workflows without compromising quality
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- An entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to build something from zero
Previous experience working for a publication, newsroom, business media company or editorial team is valuable, but quality of thinking and storytelling matters more than job titles .
What the Founder Will Bring The Founder & Publisher will take responsibility for:
- Funding the initial operating requirements
- Website development
- Technology and infrastructure
- Graphic design and visual identity
- Product development
- Business strategy
- Partnerships
- Sponsorship and monetization
- Marketing and growth
- Operational support
The idea is to create a complementary founding team: Founder & Publisher
Business • Product • Technology • Design • Finance • Partnerships • Growth
Co-founder & Editor-in-Chief
Editorial • Interviews • Storytelling • Journalism • Podcast • Content Team • Quality
Time Commitment
This role requires a consistent commitment of approximately 2–3 hours per day .
The work can initially be structured flexibly, but we are looking for someone who wants to become meaningfully involved in building Foundlogue rather than contributing occasionally.
Compensation & Equity
This is an early-stage, equity-based co-founder opportunity .
There is no cash salary or compensation during the initial phase .
The selected person will join as a founding partner, and the equity structure will be discussed based on commitment, responsibilities, experience and long-term involvement.
This opportunity is therefore best suited to someone who believes in the concept and is comfortable investing time in building long-term value alongside the founder.
Why Join Foundlogue?
This is an opportunity to help build a publication from its very first story .
You won't be joining an established editorial system.
You'll help create it.
From deciding what makes a great Foundlogue story to interviewing the first founders, developing the podcast, mentoring future writers and shaping the publication's editorial reputation — you'll have the opportunity to influence what Foundlogue becomes.
If the idea of documenting how founders built from zero excites you, we'd like to hear from you.
