Role & responsibilities

Strong hands-on experience in DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) • Experience with IPAM/Productive IP/ BlueCat or similar DDI platforms • Solid understanding of DNS architecture (Authoritative, Recursive, Forwarders, Zones, Records, DNSSEC) • Experience with migrating DDI from one to another vendor/solution • Experience with integrating DDI solutions & Monitor DDI • Expertise in DNS zone management and zone migrations (intra-platform, cross-platform, on-prem to cloud) • Strong experience with Active Directory-integrated DNS architecture • Experience in DHCP configuration and integrations (Scopes, Reservations, Failover, Policies, AD integration) • Experience in IPAM management including subnetting, IP allocation, capacity planning, and lifecycle management • Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, subnetting, VLANs, routing concepts) • Strong knowledge of DNS protocols and services (UDP/TCP 53, zone transfers, recursion, caching) • Understanding of DNS impact on search engine optimization (SEO) including DNS resolution time, uptime, TTL tuning, and domain performance • Experience with DNS performance optimization and high availability configurations • Hands-on experience with DDI integrations with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS hybrid DNS design) • Hands-on troubleshooting experience using nslookup, dig, traceroute,



Wireshark • Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, or similar) • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills • Recursive/resolver platforms - experience with resolver/forwarder infrastructure such as BlueCat Edge or similar. Understanding of forwarding policies, conditional forwarding, anycast, and first-hop resolver design • Python scripting - comfortable writing REST API automation from scratch (auth flows, pagination, idempotent operations, error handling) • Linux CLI - SSH, basic networking tools (dig, nc, ip route), reading system logs Infrastructure • Terraform - modules, workspaces, state management, reading/writing provider resources. Both AWS and Azure providers • AWS networking - VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, EC2, Route Tables, AWS Firewall policies, Route53 • Azure networking - VNet, NSG, Marketplace VM images, Azure Firewall policies, Private Endpoint, Private DNS Zones, Private DNS Resolver Secondary Skill Set • Experience in handling public DNS services (Azure DNS, AWS Route 53, external authoritative DNS platforms) • Knowledge of DNS security mechanisms (DNSSEC, RPZ, DDoS mitigation, split-horizon DNS) • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, REST APIs for DDI platforms)
