Position Overview

We are looking for a technically credible and highly organised engineer to manage the day-to-day operations of our technology vendors across cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, SaaS, observability,

networking and managed services. You will work closely with engineering, finance, procurement, legal and security teams to ensure vendor services remain reliable, cost-effective and aligned with business priorities. This role combines technical analysis, vendor governance, operational coordination and FinOps support. You'll provide data-driven recommendations while operating within established commercial and governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

- Vendor Operations:Act as the primary operational contact for assigned technologyvendors, coordinate onboarding, service reviews, SLA/KPI tracking, renewals, operationalescalations and prepare inputs for strategic vendor meetings.
- Technical Evaluation:Review architecture diagrams, monitoring dashboards,performance trends and RCA reports to assess vendor performance, identify gaps,



andrecommend improvements.
- Commercial & FinOps Support: Analyse cloud consumption, licence utilisation, invoices, pricing benchmarks and total cost of ownership. Maintain vendor spend, renewal forecasts and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
- Operational Governance:Support Order Form, Purchase Order, PoCs, SoWs, transitionplanning and vendor lifecycle management. Maintain risk registers, domain inventory andrenewal calendars.
- Stakeholder Communication: Prepare concise, decision-ready reports for engineering and leadership teams, coordinate vendor meetings, and ensure timely escalation of operational risks and issues.

Required Skills

- Technical Cloud Background: Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP), and familiarity with IaaS/PaaS/SaaS services, reliability, observability, and service delivery.
- Vendor & Service Management: Experience with vendor governance, SLA/KPI management, service reviews, renewals and operational lifecycle management.
- Analytical and Commercial Ability: Able to review logs, dashboards, performance trends, and invoices. Understands licence utilisation, cost tracking, concentration risk, and security/compliance dependencies, and presents evidence-based recommendations.
- Communication and Documentation:Excellent written and verbal Englishcommunication, able to run vendor and stakeholder meetings and translate technicalissues into business impact. High precision in maintaining vendor records, action logs, costtrackings and renewal calendars
