Role Description The Desktop Engineer is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for managing and supporting desktop computing environments across the organization. Day-to-day tasks include installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop computers, operating systems, and business-critical software. The role involves responding to technical support requests, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, and performing regular troubleshooting to ensure minimal downtime.

Engineer will collaborate with IT team members to implement best practices, maintain documentation, and contribute to system upgrades and security compliance.



This position requires a commitment to customer-focused service, clear communication, and proactive identification of potential issues in the desktop environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Desktop Computers, including configuration, hardware support, and performance optimization.
- Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and Troubleshooting to resolve user issues efficiently and maintain high service quality.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Operating Systems, including installation, configuration, patching, and basic administration.
- Candidates should possess skills in Software Installation and setup of common business applications and security tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple support requests.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels and document technical procedures clearly.
- Experience in an IT support or desktop engineering role, preferably in a corporate environment, is beneficial.
- Relevant technical certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft-certified desktop or OS credentials) or a diploma/degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field are advantageous.
