About The Role GyanSys is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions that support strategic business initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess solid hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, and related technologies. You will collaborate closely with architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to build robust, scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data architectures, implement best practices in data governance and security, and contribute to high-impact projects for global clients. The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence. Immediate joiners are preferred, and the role offers flexibility across multiple locations including Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of four years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles is essential.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are highly desirable. Candidates with additional certifications in AWS, Google Cloud, or other relevant platforms will have an added advantage. A strong foundation in data modeling, relational databases, cloud platforms, and ETL/ELT pipeline development is required to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for enterprise data platforms, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Develop data engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for various data types, including data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse architectures, following best practices such as Medallion Architecture.
- Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems like SAP, and SaaS applications.
- Design and implement efficient data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Optimize Spark jobs, SQL queries, clusters, and storage for improved performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance practices to ensure data integrity and security.




- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub to streamline deployment and version control.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements to ensure system stability.
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards and processes.
