Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Data Engineer supporting the development of Aqua-X-Foul’s AI-driven ROV and data platforms.

The Data

Engineer intern will help design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest and process sensor, imaging, and operational data from autonomous systems. Daily tasks include collaborating with engineers and data scientists to define data requirements, implementing ETL workflows, organizing data in warehouses, and preparing datasets for analytics and machine learning. The role involves creating and updating data models,



monitoring data quality, documenting data flows, and contributing to process improvements. The intern will also assist in developing dashboards and reports that support performance analysis, product optimization, and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Data Engineering and Extract Transform Load (ETL) for building and maintaining robust data pipelines.
- Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling and Data Warehousing to structure and organize data for scalable storage and retrieval.
- Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to interpret data, generate insights, and support decision-making.
- Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (such as Python or Java) is beneficial.
- Understanding of cloud data platforms or services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and basic knowledge of APIs or streaming data is advantageous.
- Solid problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment are important.
- Currently pursuing or having completed studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
