Relevant certifications in Virtualisation Technologies (VMware preferred)

Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a VMware Virtualisation Expert

Strong experience in Data Centre environments

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Management: Provision, monitor, and manage KVM and VMware-based virtual machines.

Setup and Configuration: Install the VME console, configure HVM hosts, establish networking (including bonding), and configure external storage at the OS level.

Cluster Administration: Deploy and manage HPE VM clusters, including managing high availability (HA) and live migration.





Migration and Onboarding: Execute bulk migration of VMs to VME.

Automation and Scripting: Utilize the VME manager for workflow automation, API integration, and task scheduling.

Support & Maintenance: Perform health checks, manage user roles, and apply updates to the VME environment.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Virtualization Expertise: Robust understanding of KVM-based solutions, Linux OS internals, and clustering technologies (e.g., Corosync, Pacemaker).

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Linux command-line interface, storage technologies (NFS, SAN), and networking.
