Job Purpose

Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth in the Employee Benefits business (Gratuity, Leave Encashment, Superannuation and Group Life solutions) through proactive sales engagement with corporates, MNCs and SMEs. Getting gratuity and leave encashment fund invested with Kotak Life Insurance.

This is a B2B sales role requiring extensive prospecting, client outreach, relationship building and consultative selling. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and engaging senior decision-makers such as CFOs, CHROs, Treasury Heads, Finance Controllers and Trustees. The role requires strong financial acumen, the ability to analyze corporate financials, and confidence in interacting with auditors, consultants and senior corporate leaders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales
2. Proactively identify, research and approach prospective corporate clients for Employee Benefits solutions, including Gratuity, Leave Encashment, Superannuation and Group Life products.
3. Generate business opportunities through outbound calling, networking, market mapping, referrals and relationship-building activities.
4. Conduct meetings and presentations with senior leaders including CFOs, CHROs, Treasury Heads, Finance Controllers, Trustees and other key decision-makers.
5. Develop a strong understanding of prospect organizations, industry trends, financial position and employee benefit requirements to create effective sales pitches.
6. Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to proposal submission, negotiation and closure.

Design and recommend customized employee benefit fund structures aligned to client demographics, cash-flow requirements, risk appetite and regulatory considerations.
8. Present fund performance, pricing rationale, actuarial assumptions and financial impact analysis to clients and prospects.
9. Liaise with auditors, consultants, trust administrators and other external stakeholders during sales discussions, trust creation and implementation processes.
10. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients to drive renewals, retention and cross-sell opportunities.
11. Work closely with Actuarial, Investments, Finance, Underwriting, Operations, Legal and Compliance teams for timely solution delivery and deal closure.
12. Maintain accurate sales documentation, proposal notes, pricing justifications and audit-ready records.
13. Monitor fund performance metrics, claims trends, persistency and servicing standards to enhance client experience and business growth.

Desired Profile

1. Strong inclination towards B2B sales, business development and client acquisition.
2. Strong understanding of financial statements, balance sheets, P&L; accounts, ratios, interest rates and ROI concepts.
3. Knowledge of Employee Benefits products, Gratuity Act, Income Tax provisions related to trust creation and fund management.
4. Consultative selling, negotiation and solution-structuring capabilities.
5. Ability to independently research target companies, identify decision-makers and create sales opportunities.
6. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial analysis tools.
7. Understanding of capital markets, investment products and stock market functioning.
