Position: Credit Control Executive -Credit & Receivables Management

Entity: Sara Logistics

Department: Finance Credit Control

Reports To: Manager- Credit Insurance

Grade/Level: Executive Senior Executive

Location: Andheri, Mumbai

1. Job Purpose The Credit Control Executive is responsible for end-to-end management of customer credit risk for Sara Logistcs/ Somochem, including credit release of deviated sales orders, credit limit setting and review, credit-worthiness evaluation, receivables ageing monitoring, documentation compliance in SAP, and continuous improvement of the Credit Control Policy. The role acts as the key liaison between Sales, Department heads, Auditors, and Management on all credit and accounts receivable matters, balancing business growth objectives with prudent credit risk management.

2. Key Responsibilities

Credit Release & Order Management

Manage the timely release of customer sales orders that fall under credit deviation, ensuring smooth coordination with the Sales Team and obtaining necessary approvals from Apex Members within agreed turnaround times.

Credit Limit & Terms Management

Review, revise, and administer credit limits and payment terms for existing and onboarding customers on an ongoing basis, ensuring limits are adequately secured through insurance coverage, personal/corporate guarantees (PG/CG), letters of credit (LC), or other approved risk-mitigation instruments, in line with evolving business needs.

Credit-Worthiness Evaluation

Conduct thorough credit-worthiness assessments of new and existing customers using the prescribed evaluation format, including analysis of customer financials, before extending or enhancing credit limits.

Periodic Credit Monitoring

Carry out regular credit health checks on customer accounts to proactively identify risk exposure and take timely corrective or preventive action.

Stakeholder Collaboration on Receivables

Actively engage with leadership, Auditors, and the Local Team in resolving credit and accounts-receivable issues,



ensuring open items are tracked and closed within agreed timeframes.

Documentation & SAP Master Data Management

Maintain accurate and complete customer documentation (including CAF and related records) in the common repository and SAP Customer Master, and manage customer group creation to ensure data integrity across systems.

Credit Insurance & Ageing Reporting

Coordinate with the credit insurance provider to apply for and renew customer credit insurance limits, and prepare and circulate the receivables ageing report to Management, the Local Team, and Marketing on a monthly basis as well as during critical overdue or credit-release situations.

Credit Policy Governance

Periodically review and strengthen the organization's Credit Control Policy, incorporating feedback and audit findings to enhance risk management practices.

Exception Reporting to Leadership

Prepare and submit periodic exception reports to senior management, highlighting deviations related to overdue accounts or over-limit credit releases falling under the defined approval matrix.

3. Educational Qualification

- Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) mandatory.
- MBA / PGDM in Finance, or professional certification in Credit Management (e.g., CA-Inter, ICM) – preferred/added advantage.

4. Experience

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Credit Risk Management, preferably in a logistics, trading, distribution, or commodity/polymer trading environment.
- Prior exposure to multi-entity/multi-country credit operation is desirable.

5. Functional Skills & Knowledge

- Robust understanding of credit risk assessment tools: financial statement analysis, credit scoring, PG/CG/LC/Insurance-backed structures.
- Hands-on working knowledge of SAP (Customer Master/FI module) for document storage, customer group creation, and credit master maintenance.
- Advanced MS Excel skills for ageing analysis, MIS reporting, and dashboards.
- Familiarity with trade credit insurance processes and renewal cycles.
- Working knowledge of receivables management, statutory documentation (CAF and KYC-equivalent), and audit compliance requirements.
