Role Description The Country Coordinator volunteer role is a remote position responsible for supporting SIGNS International’s activities within a specific country or region. On a day-to-day basis, the Country Coordinator helps identify local training and research opportunities, maintains relationships with partner institutions and stakeholders, and facilitates communication between local teams and SIGNS International’s global leadership. The role may involve coordinating online meetings, assisting with planning and promotion of training programs, collecting and sharing country-specific data and feedback,



and supporting the implementation of healthcare projects.

The Country

Coordinator also contributes to reporting on progress, documenting local challenges and successes, and helping align country activities with the organization’s overall mission and standards.

Qualifications

- Strong coordination and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet agreed timelines.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, networking, or partnership development within health, education, or community sectors.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language proficiency is an asset.
- Comfort with remote work tools (email, video conferencing, shared documents) and basic digital literacy.
- Background or strong interest in public health, healthcare training, research, or related fields.
- Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Cultural sensitivity and a cooperative mindset when working with diverse teams and communities.
- Relevant academic studies or professional experience in health sciences, social sciences, or project management are beneficial.
