Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Costing & Procurement Executive to handle project costing, BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, material procurement, vendor coordination, and cost control. The candidate will work closely with designers, contractors, vendors, and site teams to ensure accurate estimation, timely procurement, and smooth execution of interior and modular projects.
Key Responsibilities
Costing & Estimation
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements.
- Carry out accurate quantity estimation and material calculations.
- Prepare detailed costing and rate analysis for interior, carpentry, modular, and related works.
- Calculate material quantities based on drawings and actual site measurements.
- Prepare and maintain cut lists for carpentry and modular works.
Material & Procurement
- Identify appropriate materials based on project requirements, specifications, quality, and budget.
- Coordinate with vendors for material availability, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Obtain and compare vendor quotations and negotiate for competitive rates and terms.
- Prepare and coordinate Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs).
- Track material orders, deliveries, pending quantities, and expected delivery dates.
- Maintain proper records of material procurement, quotations, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.
- Monitor material consumption, reconciliation, and stock availability.
Site & Project Coordination
- Conduct and verify site measurements for accurate quantity estimation and costing.
- Coordinate with site teams to understand project requirements and material needs.
- Coordinate with designers, contractors, vendors, and project/site teams for smooth execution.
- Verify materials supplied at site against approved specifications and purchase orders.
Documentation & Cost Control
- Prepare and maintain project-related documentation, including BOQs, estimates, rate analysis, quotations, POs, WOs, material trackers, and reconciliation statements.
- Maintain proper records of vendor quotations and comparative statements.
- Monitor project material costs and highlight variations or potential cost overruns.
- Support management and project teams with costing, procurement, and material-related reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
- Experience in interior fit-out, carpentry, modular furniture, or construction procurement will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, costing, and rate analysis.
- Good understanding of materials used in interior, carpentry, modular, and civil works.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior, and execution drawings.
- Positive knowledge of vendor management, quotation comparison, and procurement processes.
- Strong MS Excel skills for costing, estimation, reconciliation, and material tracking.
- Good negotiation, coordination, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in Costing, Estimation, Procurement, Interior Projects, Modular Furniture, or Construction.
- Candidates with experience in interior design/project execution companies will be preferred.
