About the Role

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Tender & Costing Engineer to join our Flow Measurement Department. The role will be responsible for handling technical and commercial aspects of enquiries and tenders, preparing accurate costings and quotations, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure competitive and technically compliant submissions.

The candidate should have valuable knowledge of flow measurement products and piping components, with the ability to understand customer specifications, drawings, datasheets, BOQs and tender requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesTendering & Enquiry Management

- Review and analyse RFQs, tenders, BOQs, technical specifications, datasheets and customer requirements.
- Prepare complete technical and commercial tender submissions within defined deadlines.
- Identify tender requirements, deviations, exclusions and compliance requirements.
- Prepare technical clarifications and coordinate responses with customers/EPCs when required.
- Track tender status, submission deadlines and follow-ups.
- Study customer and EPC specifications and ensure compliance before quotation submission.

Costing & Estimation
- Prepare product-wise cost estimates and quotations based on customer requirements.
- Calculate material, manufacturing, machining, testing, inspection and other applicable costs.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Engineering and QA/QC teams to obtain accurate costing inputs.
- Analyse drawings and specifications to determine material grades, dimensions, sizes, ratings and manufacturing requirements.




- Maintain costing data and ensure quotations are commercially competitive while meeting required margins.
- Support preparation of BOMs, cost sheets and pricing comparisons.

Flow Measurement Products The candidate will primarily work on costing and tendering for products such as:
- Orifice Plates
- Orifice Flanges
- Wedge Flow Elements / Wedge Meters
- Venturi Tubes
- Flow Nozzles
- Restriction Orifices
- Metering Skids / Flow Measurement Systems
- Flanges and related piping components
- Other flow measurement and instrumentation products manufactured/supplied by the company

Technical Coordination
- Understand relevant ASME, API, ISO, ASTM and other applicable standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the engineering team for product selection, sizing and technical feasibility.
- Identify suitable materials such as Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel, Duplex/Super Duplex and other special alloys based on project requirements.
- Ensure technical compliance with customer, EPC and project specifications.

Commercial & Sales Support
- Work closely with the Sales/Business Development team to provide technically accurate and commercially viable quotations.
- Support negotiations by providing costing and pricing inputs.
- Analyse historical quotations, order values and competitor pricing where available.
- Maintain a database of previous tenders, costings and quotations for future reference.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for value engineering and cost optimisation.

Required Skills & Qualifications




- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, costing or proposals, preferably in:
- Flow Measurement
- Valves
- Instrumentation
- Piping Components
- Oil & Gas
- Petrochemicals
- EPC projects
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of flow measurement products and piping components.
- Strong MS Excel skills and ability to work with costing sheets.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under strict tender deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in EPC tendering, oil & gas projects, flow measurement, metering packages, valves or engineered-to-order products will be preferred.

Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, end users and international customers will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is technically sound, commercially aware and highly detail-oriented, with the ability to understand an engineering requirement and convert it into an accurate costing, technical offer and commercial quotation.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with drawings, specifications, Excel, BOQs and tender documents, and should have a genuine interest in flow measurement and engineered industrial products.
