Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager with a minimum of 8 years of experience in building construction projects, with robust expertise in FIDIC contract administration, Extension of Time (EOT), claims, variations, and commercial management.

The candidate will be responsible for managing contractual and commercial matters at the project site, ensuring compliance with contract conditions, protecting the company's contractual interests, and effectively managing claims, delays, variations, and EOT submissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and manage construction contracts in accordance with FIDIC conditions of contract and project-specific requirements.
- Review and interpret contract agreements, specifications, drawings, BOQs, schedules, Employer's Requirements, and contractual conditions.
- Manage the complete Extension of Time (EOT) process, including identification of delay events, entitlement assessment, delay analysis, substantiation, and submission.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate EOT claims and associated prolongation cost claims.




- Monitor project schedules and identify actual and potential delays affecting contractual milestones.
- Assess delay events such as variations, late approvals, delayed information, access constraints, unforeseen conditions, and other Employer/Consultant-related events.
- Prepare and issue contractual notices, claims, and submissions within the timelines prescribed under the FIDIC contract.
- Manage variations, change orders, additional works, omissions, and associated contractual/commercial implications.
- Prepare and evaluate claims for additional costs, disruption, prolongation, and loss and expense.
- Maintain a comprehensive Claims and EOT Register and track the status of all contractual matters.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Contract Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in contract management within the building/construction industry.
- Strong site-based experience on building projects.
- Demonstrated experience in FIDIC contracts and EOT claims is mandatory.
