Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee statutory, labour, contractual, and regulatory compliance across ongoing projects. The role will be responsible for implementing new labour-code requirements, monitoring contractor compliance, reviewing statutory documentation, tracking regulatory updates, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented across project sites.
The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of labour compliance, contractor compliance, principal employer requirements, statutory registrations, labour cess, and infrastructure-sector regulatory requirements, with the ability to conduct site audits and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Labour Code Implementation
- Drive implementation of the New Labour Codes and applicable requirements across contractors and project sites.
- Review and advise on wage structuring, benefits, statutory deductions, and labour compliance processes.
- Assess existing contractor practices and identify gaps against applicable statutory requirements.
- Develop compliance checklists, SOPs, and implementation guidelines for contractors.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, Legal, Procurement, and project teams for effective implementation.
1. Contractor Compliance
- Monitor statutory compliance of contractors and subcontractors working across project locations.
- Review contractor agreements, labour records, statutory registers, licences, returns, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance related to wages, advantages, working conditions, and statutory obligations.
- Identify non-compliances and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain contractor compliance records and periodic compliance reports.
1. Labour Cess Compliance
- Review the applicability of Labour Cess requirements for various projects.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and statutory records are maintained.
- Monitor timely calculation, payment/deposit, and documentation of applicable cess.
- Coordinate with Finance and project teams regarding cess-related compliance requirements.
- Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions wherever required.
1. NHAI Circulars & Regulatory Updates
- Monitor the latest NHAI circulars, notifications, guidelines,
and regulatory updates applicable to ongoing projects.
- Analyse the implications of new circulars and regulatory requirements on project operations and contracts.
- Communicate relevant updates to management and concerned project teams.
- Ensure applicable changes are incorporated into internal processes and compliance practices.
1. Principal Employer & Contractual Compliance
- Review new contractual arrangements with clients and assess Principal Employer responsibilities and related compliance requirements.
- Ensure applicable registrations, including LIN (Labour Identification Number) and other statutory requirements, are obtained and maintained.
- Review contractor and client contractual arrangements from a compliance perspective.
- Identify potential compliance risks arising from changes in contractual structures.
- Coordinate with Legal, HR, Projects, and contractors to ensure timely implementation of required compliances.
1. Site Compliance Audits
- Conduct regular site visits and compliance audits across project locations.
- Review labour-related documentation, contractor records, agreements, statutory registers, licences, and other compliance documents.
- Verify actual site practices against statutory and contractual requirements.
- Identify compliance gaps and prepare detailed audit observations.
- Recommend corrective actions and monitor their implementation and closure.
1. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance Management
- Ensure 100% compliance with applicable requirements issued by relevant government and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain a compliance calendar covering licences, registrations, returns, renewals, payments, and statutory submissions.
- Track changes in labour laws, government notifications, circulars, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and report critical gaps to management.
- Maintain proper documentation and evidence for audits and regulatory inspections.

Qualification & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Law, HR, Labour Relations, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in labour compliance, statutory compliance, contractor compliance, or project compliance preferred.
- Experience in Infrastructure, Construction, EPC, Road Projects, or NHAI-related projects will be highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, contractor compliance, statutory registrations, and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to travel to project sites for compliance audits.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
