Civil Site Engineer / Civil Engineer Building Construction

Role & Responsibilities

- Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil and building construction activities at project sites.
- Read and interpret civil, structural, architectural, and AutoCAD drawings and guide labour and contractors for correct execution.
- Take accurate site measurements of completed/executed work and maintain Measurement Book (MB) records.
- Calculate quantities from drawings and actual site measurements for bill preparation and verification.
- Prepare and verify contractor/vendor bills based on executed quantities and approved rates.
- Use MS Excel for quantity calculations, measurements, bill preparation, and site documentation.
- Manage and coordinate labour and contractors to ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Monitor RCC, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, concrete, finishing, and other building construction activities.
- Verify executed work against drawings and identify discrepancies or deviations.
- Maintain daily progress reports, measurement records, material records, and other project documentation.
- Assist in BOQ verification, quantity estimation, reconciliation, and contractor billing.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials and compliance with quality and safety requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Diploma / B.E.



/ B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Relevant experience in building construction and civil site supervision.
- Strong preference for candidates who have worked on Government building construction projects in Andhra Pradesh and/or Telangana.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in Government civil works in Andhra Pradesh or Telangana, including execution, site supervision, measurements, MB entries, BOQ, and contractor billing, will be highly preferred.
- Experience working with Government departments, Government contractors, or Government-funded building construction projects in Andhra Pradesh/Telangana will be an added advantage.
- Robust ability to read and understand AutoCAD, structural, civil, and architectural drawings.
- Ability to extract quantities from drawings and site measurements for BOQ and bill preparation.
- Hands-on experience in Measurement Book (MB), quantity calculations, and contractor billing.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel for measurements, quantity calculations, and bill preparation.
- Experience in labour management, contractor coordination, and site supervision.
- Good understanding of RCC, reinforcement, masonry, plastering, flooring, concrete, finishing, and other building construction activities.
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, specifications, quality standards, and site practices.
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.
- Ability to independently supervise construction activities and manage labour/contractors.
