Job Overview
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with a strong background in Statutory Audit and hands-on exposure to Investment Banking, IPO, Transaction Advisory, or Capital Market assignments. The ideal candidate should possess robust technical accounting knowledge, financial analysis capabilities, audit expertise, and an understanding of IPO processes and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory Audit & Financial Reporting
- Plan, execute, and supervise Statutory Audit assignments as per applicable auditing standards.
- Review financial statements, schedules, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, Schedule III, and applicable accounting standards.
- Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, internal control testing, and audit procedures.
- Review revenue, expenses, fixed assets, investments, provisions, borrowings, receivables, payables, and other significant balances.
- Identify audit risks, financial discrepancies, and control weaknesses.
- Prepare and review audit working papers, audit reports, management letters, and audit observations.
- Assist in finalisation of financial statements and disclosures.
- Coordinate with client finance teams and senior management for timely completion of audits.
Investment Banking & IPO Exposure
- Support IPO and capital market transactions from financial and accounting perspectives.
- Assist in IPO readiness assessments, financial due diligence, and transaction-related reviews.
- Review historical financial information and identify potential accounting and reporting issues.
- Assist in preparation/review of financial information required for DRHP, RHP, and other IPO-related documentation.
- Coordinate with investment bankers, legal advisors, auditors, merchant bankers, and client management.
- Assist in analysing financial performance, profitability, working capital, debt, cash flows, and business trends.
- Support transaction execution, financial analysis, and preparation of management presentations.
- Review financial disclosures for consistency, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in responding to queries raised during the IPO process by regulators, auditors, advisors, and other stakeholders.
Software & Tools
- Advanced MS Excel – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, financial analysis, data reconciliation, and reporting.
- MS PowerPoint for preparation of management and transaction presentations.
- MS Word for preparation and review of audit and transaction documentation.
- Experience with SAP / Oracle / ERP systems will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of financial analysis, valuation, or investment banking databases/tools will be preferred.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- CA with minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Candidates from Big 4, leading CA firms, Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Due Diligence, Audit & Assurance, or Financial Advisory backgrounds will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in IPO transactions along with Statutory Audit will have an added advantage.
- Strong exposure to client-facing assignments and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Salary: ₹8 LPA onwards, depending on experience, skill set, and relevant IPO/Investment Banking exposure.
