Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for a CATIA Design Engineer located in Goa, India, with a focus on surfacing and tooling. The CATIA Design Engineer will create, modify, and optimize 3D models and complex surfaces in CATIA for automotive, aerospace, or industrial components as per project requirements.

Daily tasks include developing tooling concepts, preparing detailed CAD drawings, validating designs against mechanical and manufacturing constraints, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. The role also involves reviewing customer specifications, performing design changes, maintaining design documentation, and supporting design reviews to ensure quality, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards. The engineer will be expected to meet project timelines,



follow internal design processes, and actively participate in continuous improvement of design and tooling methodologies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Design Engineering skills, including experience with CATIA surfacing and tooling design.
- Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge to understand materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical behavior of components.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, with hands-on experience in 3D modeling, detailed drafting, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;).
- Candidates should possess Product Design capabilities to translate requirements into practical, manufacturable designs and support iterative design improvements.
- Candidates should possess basic Electrical Engineering awareness when working with harness or cabling-related projects (an advantage but not mandatory).
- 2–3 years of relevant industry experience in CATIA surfacing and tooling design.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings, and standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work on-site in Goa, India, on customer and internal projects.
