> The Cath Lab Technologist is responsible for assisting cardiologists and the clinical team in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker/ICD/CRT implantation, and other invasive cardiac interventions. The role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient technical support during procedures while maintaining compliance with hospital and NABH standards.

- Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Cath Lab before each procedure, ensuring all equipment and instruments are functional and sterile.

- Assist cardiologists during procedures like coronary angiography, angioplasty, stenting, pacemaker/ICD/CRT implantations, balloon valvuloplasty, etc.

- Operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring systems during procedures.

- Monitor patient vitals and assist in emergency situations (CPR, defibrillation).

- Handle and manage radiation protection equipment as per guidelines.

- Maintain Cath Lab consumables (catheters, wires, balloons, stents, syringes, injectors).

- Ensure proper documentation of patient data, procedure details, and reports.

- Coordinate with nursing staff, biomedical engineers, and anaesthetists for smooth functioning.

- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols strictly.





- Participate in audits, training, and continuing education programs.

- Collect patient feedback and assist in improving patient experience.

- Qualifications Experience

- B.Sc . in Cardiac Technology / Diploma in Cath Lab Technology / equivalent paramedical course.

- 0-3 years of experience in Cath Lab procedures (fresher candidates with internship may be considered).

- Knowledge of Cath Lab procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and patient care.

- Skills Competencies

- Strong technical skills in operating Cath Lab equipment.

- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and procedures.

- Ability to remain calm and productive during emergency situations.

- Teamwork and effective communication with doctors, nurses, and patients.

- Awareness of radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
