Urvann is looking for a Category Manager to own our Plants & Garden category end-to-end - from goal setting and planning to sourcing, inventory, revenue and customer experience.
What you’ll own
- Set category goals and build monthly/quarterly plans to achieve them
- Own and track revenue, orders, margins, inventory and category growth
- Plan assortment, procurement and inventory to ensure the right products are always available
- Build and manage strong relationships with nurseries and vendors
- Manage website listings, pricing, catalog hygiene and product assortment
- Identify gaps and opportunities to improve sales, conversion and profitability
- Optimize and automate processes to make the category faster, more efficient and scalable
- Work closely with Operations & Marketing on launches, promotions and seasonal campaigns
- Take complete ownership and hustle to get things done
What we’re looking for
- 4–6 years of experience in category management
- Solid understanding of numbers with the ability to analyse and drive revenue and order growth
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong commercial, negotiation and vendor management skills
- Ability to plan, execute, track and course-correct based on numbers
- Ability to build processes and optimize & automate them
- High ownership mindset - someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Extra preference for candidates from the plants, gardening, nursery, home & garden or related industry
