Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic candidate to join our team as a Catalytic Converter Grader / Buyer. This is an entry-level opportunity, and no previous experience in catalytic converters or scrap is required. Full training will be provided.

The selected candidate will learn how to identify, inspect, grade and evaluate automotive catalytic converters, understand their value, support purchasing activities and develop knowledge of the automotive scrap recycling business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is willing to learn, comfortable working in a warehouse/yard environment and interested in building a long-term career in the recycling and automotive scrap industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Learn to identify and grade different types of automotive catalytic converters.
- Assist in inspection, sorting, evaluation and valuation of catalytic converter scrap.
- Support the buying and procurement of catalytic converters from suppliers/vendors.
- Learn about vehicle models, converter identification, scrap quality and market values.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory and material received.
- Coordinate with suppliers, scrap dealers, garages and other business partners.
- Assist in warehouse/yard operations, including handling and sorting automotive scrap.
- Monitor market trends and learn factors affecting catalytic converter values.




- Support the team in developing new supplier relationships and sourcing opportunities.
- Travel within and outside Kolkata for business-related work as required.
- Follow company procedures relating to safety, documentation and material handling.
- Take responsibility for continuous learning and gradually become an independent buyer/grader.

Candidate Profile

- Freshers are welcome full training will be provided.
- Any Graduate or Diploma holder can apply.
- Engineering Diploma / Degree holders will be preferred.
- Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Metallurgy / Engineering background will be an advantage.
- Strong interest in learning the automotive scrap and recycling business.
- Reliable, hardworking and disciplined.
- Good observation and basic analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse, yard and field environment.
- Willing to handle automotive scrap/materials.
- Willing to travel within and outside Kolkata for work.
- Basic computer knowledge will be an advantage.
