Job Profile: CAD Engineer having 5-7 years of experience Modelling & Drafting

Job title: CAD Engineer

Department: Digital Manufacturing Service (DMS)

Essential Requirements

New Product Introduction (NPI):

- Manage daily NPI related activities, ensuring that all products are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
- Develop and optimize method of manufacturing (MOM) for new products, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and adherence to timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-function team to ensure smooth handoff of projects from design to manufacturing.
- Identify and mitigate risks in new product development and production processes.
- Communicate with customer for any technical or documentation issues

Tooling & Equipment:

- Design or procure new tooling, fixtures, Mold and equipment required for current product manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the machine shop team to ensure equipment is maintained and optimized for high-volume production.
- Strong hand on SolidWorks





Project Management:

- Create and manage project timelines for NPI projects, ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
- Ensure all NPI projects comply with company and industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an NPI Engineer, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with knowledge of CNC machining, tooling, and fixtures.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledgeable with plastic welding and thermoforming
- Familiarity with any ERP or SAP systems (Epicor)

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements:

- B. Tech in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
