Role Summary

We are looking for an AVP / Director-level Data Solutions leader who owns end-to-end data capability — from architecture and engineering through analytics and AI-enablement — across a portfolio of client accounts. This is a dual-mandate role: strategic enough to define data roadmaps, own executive relationships, and grow a multi-client portfolio, and hands-on enough to architect, review, and course-correct the underlying technical solution. The ideal candidate has built and led data platforms personally earlier in their career and now operates as the senior owner who connects client strategy to delivery execution across several engagements at once.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end data capability across the client portfolio — data engineering, architecture, governance, BI/analytics, and advanced analytics/AI-ML enablement.
- Act as the AVP/Director-level owner for multiple client accounts simultaneously — the primary point of contact for all data & analytics initiatives within the portfolio.
- Define and drive data strategy, architecture blueprints, and modernization roadmaps (cloud data platforms, lakehouse, CDM, governance), staying hands-on in design and technical reviews where it matters.
- Balance strategic advisory — executive stakeholder management, roadmaps, business cases — with hands-on delivery oversight — architecture reviews,



solution design, and technical risk management.
- Lead multi-client, multi-engagement delivery: resource planning, staffing, quality, timelines, and overall portfolio health across accounts.
- Drive account growth and new business — shape proposals, RFP responses, and solutioning; identify upsell/cross-sell data opportunities within existing accounts.
- Architect and validate solutions across the full data lifecycle: ingestion, ETL/ELT, storage (data lake/warehouse/lakehouse), governance/catalog, semantic layer, BI/analytics, and AI/ML enablement.
- Serve as the escalation point for delivery risks across the portfolio; ensure SLAs, delivery quality, and client satisfaction are consistently met.
- Build, mentor, and scale a multi-disciplinary team — architects, engineers, BI developers, and analysts — across accounts.
- Represent the practice at client steering committees and executive business reviews; own value-realization tracking and reporting across the portfolio.

Required Skills & Experience

- 14+ years of experience in data engineering, architecture, and analytics, including substantial experience owning delivery and/or account leadership.
- Proven hands-on expertise across the full data stack: SQL, Python, ETL/ELT (Alteryx, Informatica, Azure Data Factory, dbt), and cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP — Snowflake, Databricks, Synapse, Redshift, BigQuery).




- Deep architectural experience — data lake/warehouse/lakehouse design, enterprise/common data models (CDM), and data governance & catalog tooling (Collibra, Purview, Alation).
- Robust analytics/BI background — Power BI, Tableau, Qlik — and experience enabling self-service and advanced analytics/AI-ML use cases.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple client accounts or a portfolio of engagements simultaneously, including account growth, delivery governance, and executive relationship management.
- Track record leading large data transformation programs end-to-end — from strategy and roadmap through architecture, build, and adoption.
- Strong pre-sales/solutioning capability — proposals, RFP responses, staffing plans, and commercial/delivery models.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — equally credible with C-level executives and hands-on technical teams.
- Demonstrated people leadership — building, mentoring, and scaling multi-disciplinary data teams across engagements.
- BFSI domain knowledge preferred — regulatory/risk reporting, core banking data, and compliance frameworks (BCBS 239, Basel, CCAR).

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data/Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- Cloud or architecture certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP, TOGAF) and/or data management certification (DAMA/CDMP).
- Prior experience in a consulting, systems-integrator, or professional-services environment managing a multi-client portfolio.
- Exposure to GenAI/LLM-driven analytics strategy and its application within regulated industries.
