We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Fabrication Designer to create detailed technical drawings and fabrication plans for manufacturing and construction projects. The candidate will work closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient design outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD for fabrication and manufacturing.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and sketches.
- Develop shop drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication details.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers and site teams to resolve design issues.
- Modify and update drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions.
- Assist in material estimation and bill of materials (BOM).
- Knowledge of CNC, sheet metal, or structural fabrication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D).
- Knowledge of fabrication processes (metal, piping, structural, or HVAC).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Familiarity with dimensioning, tolerances, and standards.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or construction workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
