Role Description The Associate Professor in Banking and Finance will be responsible for designing and delivering postgraduate-level courses, supervising research, and mentoring students in the MBA Banking and Finance program. Daily responsibilities include preparing and teaching lectures, conducting tutorials and workshops, guiding dissertations and industry-oriented projects, and evaluating student performance through assignments, examinations, and presentations. The role involves active contribution to curriculum development, participation in academic committees, and collaboration with industry partners to maintain contemporary and practice-oriented course content.

The Associate Professor is expected to engage in high-quality research,



publish in Scopus-indexed journals, and contribute to the school’s academic reputation through conferences, seminars, and outreach. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division, requiring regular presence on campus for teaching, student engagement, and institutional activities.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Finance and Banking, with the ability to teach advanced courses and guide applied research in these domains.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, data interpretation, and evidence-based decision-making relevant to the BFSI sector.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including explicit academic writing, effective classroom delivery, and the ability to engage diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess in-depth understanding of Financial Services and customer-centric perspectives, enabling integration of industry practices and customer service concepts into teaching and research.
- Ph.D. in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- Strong record of publications in Scopus-indexed journals is mandatory, with demonstrated capability for sustained scholarly research.
- Prior teaching experience at the postgraduate level, preferably in Banking, Finance, or related fields, and experience supervising student research projects.
- Familiarity with industry trends in the BFSI sector, and ability to incorporate case studies, analytics tools, and contemporary regulatory and market developments into course
