Job Title: Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Logistics Manager
Location: Mumbai, India
Job Summary: JLL is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager (APM) for our Data Centre construction project in Mumbai. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient execution of this complex project, working closely with the project management team to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Site Logistics Coordination
- Plan and coordinate site logistics operations to ensure seamless material flow and site accessibility
- Develop and maintain comprehensive site logistics plans aligned with project requirements and schedules
Material Delivery Management:
- Coordinate material deliveries with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely arrivals
- Schedule and sequence deliveries to optimize site operations and minimize congestion
- Monitor delivery schedules and address any delays or discrepancies
Storage Planning & Inventory Management:
- Design and implement material storage layouts to maximize space utilization and ensure secure access
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock reconciliations
- Ensure proper storage conditions for different material types to prevent damage or deterioration
Material Handling Equipment Deployment:
- Identify material handling equipment requirements (cranes, forklifts, hoists, etc.)
- Coordinate deployment and positioning of handling equipment based on project needs
- Ensure equipment availability and readiness for scheduled activities
Vendor & Procurement Coordination:
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials
- Liaise with CSA & MEP (Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) vendors for material coordination and delivery scheduling
- Address vendor queries and resolve supply-related issues promptly
Gate Pass & Vehicle Movement Management:
- Process and manage gate passes for personnel, vehicles, and materials entering/exiting sites
- Coordinate vehicle movements to ensure efficient traffic flow and minimize congestion
- Maintain records of all vehicle movements and material receipts
Client & Facility Coordination:
- Liaise with client construction team on the MCE vendor deliveries and coordinates with respective MCE vendors.
- Liaise with client facility team for coordination with ongoing MB03 operations
- Ensure logistics activities align with client requirements and site protocols
- Coordinate access, movement restrictions, and any shared facility usage with MB03 operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BE Civil) from a recognized institution.
- 6-9 years of experience in Logistics management or Material coordination, preferably in construction industry managing
- Strong knowledge of logistics management, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in MS office and logistics management software’s.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with construction projects in the Mumbai area.
- Familiarity with local building regulations and permit processes.
- Knowledge of sustainable practices.
- Professional certifications such material management.
