Role Description The Assistant Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based at Aklia Group of Institutions in Jaitu.
The Assistant
Professor will design and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions aligned with the institution’s curriculum and academic standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course materials, assessing student performance, providing academic mentoring, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. The role involves guiding students in projects and research activities, contributing to curriculum development,
and participating in departmental meetings, workshops, and academic events.
The Assistant
Professor is also expected to support institutional initiatives, collaborate with colleagues on academic improvement, and uphold a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in the relevant discipline, with the ability to deliver clear, well-structured lectures and practical sessions.
- Proficiency in academic planning, including course design, syllabus development, assessment methods, and learning outcomes alignment.
- Effective classroom management and mentoring skills, with a student-centered approach that supports diverse learning needs.
- Ability to integrate technology in teaching, including use of presentation tools, learning management systems, and online resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear academic writing and constructive feedback to learners.
- Master’s degree or higher in the relevant field from a recognized institution; Ph.D. or ongoing doctoral work is an added advantage.
- Prior teaching or academic experience at the higher-education level is preferred, along with familiarity with outcome-based education.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, collaborative work with faculty teams, and adherence to ethical and institutional standards.
