Roles and Responsibilities

- Adherence to compliances with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements (DGMS, IBM, MOEF, Ministry of Labour, CPCB and any other authorities) and proactively identify and comply with any new legislations/ enactments/ amendments pertaining to Mining operations.

- Implement optimization of Ore production and waste generation in shift operations

- Execute action plan to minimize losses, rejects and reworks on a regular basis

- Execute resource optimization including Man, Machines, Materials, Supplies & Utilities

- Plan, execute, and monitor mining operations to meet production targets while ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards.

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices.

- Implement optimization of Ore production and waste generation

- Implement Continuous improvement and development to minimize losses, rejects and reworks on a regular basis

- Implement Resource optimization including Man, Machines, Materials, Supplies & Utilities





- Implement Cost Reduction through Innovation and improvement projects

- Manage drilling & blasting activities to optimize ore extraction rates.

- Conduct safety briefings, monitor compliance, and promptly address any safety concerns or incidents that arise.

- Needs to ensure that production targets are met efficiently and troubleshoot any operational issues that may affect productivity.

- Shift planning and coordination

- Identify training needs and providing guidance and support to team members

- Must be well versed with emergency response protocols, conduct drills and ensure the preparedness of team members

Desired Candidate Profile

- 05- 10 years of experience in iron ore mining or related field (mining engineering).

- B.Tech / B.E. degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution & Second Class Mines Manager Competency certificate from DGMS.

- Solid knowledge of mine planning, mining operations, drilling & blasting techniques.
