Job Title: Assistant Chief Financial Officer
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
Department: Finance & Accounts

We are looking for an experienced and strategically driven Assistant Chief Financial Officer to support the CFO/Management in strengthening financial planning, controls, compliance, reporting, budgeting, and overall financial governance across the organization.
Position Summary The Assistant CFO will be responsible for supporting the organization's financial strategy and ensuring effective financial management across software, manufacturing, hardware procurement, projects, sales, and operational functions.
The role requires strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, cash flow management, cost control, audits, MIS, and financial analysis. The candidate will work closely with senior management and provide timely financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Strategy
- Support the CFO and Management in developing financial strategies, annual operating plans, and long-term business plans.
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Analyze business performance and provide recommendations for improving profitability and financial efficiency.
- Support strategic decisions related to expansion, investments, manufacturing capacity, new projects, and business opportunities.
2. Financial Reporting & MIS
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Ensure timely reporting of revenue, expenses, profitability, cash flow, receivables, payables, and working capital.
- Conduct variance analysis between budgets, forecasts, and actual performance.
- Present financial reports and key insights to senior management.
3. Accounting & Financial Controls
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all accounting transactions and financial records.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, approval processes, and SOPs.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure proper authorization as per company policies.
- Review general ledger, reconciliations, provisions, fixed assets,
and other critical accounting activities.
4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts and fund requirements.
- Optimize working capital, including receivables, payables, inventory, and project-related cash flows.
- Monitor collections and coordinate with Sales and Operations teams to improve receivable recovery.
- Support management in maintaining adequate liquidity for business operations.
5. Manufacturing & Project Cost Control
- Monitor costing and profitability of kiosk manufacturing, hardware procurement, software development, and client projects.
- Analyze material costs, production expenses, vendor payments, and operational costs.
- Support implementation of cost-control measures to improve margins and operational efficiency.
- Review project-wise profitability and identify financial risks or cost overruns.
6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable Income Tax, GST, TDS, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and payment of applicable taxes.
- Monitor changes in financial and taxation regulations and assess their impact on the company.
7. Audit & Risk Management
- Coordinate internal, statutory, tax, and other financial audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
- Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Develop appropriate financial controls and risk-mitigation measures.
8. Banking & Financial Relationships
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for day-to-day banking requirements.
- Support working capital, credit facilities, banking documentation, and financial negotiations as required.
- Maintain effective relationships with bankers, auditors,
consultants, and other financial stakeholders.
9. Leadership & Team Management
- Guide and supervise the Finance and Accounts team.
- Ensure accountability, accuracy, and timely completion of financial activities.
- Support the development of finance-related SOPs and process improvements.
- Work closely with HR, Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- MBA Finance or other relevant financial qualifications will be an added advantage.
- 8-15 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounts.
- Experience in a technology, software, manufacturing, hardware, engineering, or project-based organization will be preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;).
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow and working capital management.
- Experience in manufacturing costing and project costing.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audits, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Tally/ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
