Role Description The AI Generalist role at Lehry Valves is a full time, in office position based in Mumbai. The AI Generalist will work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to identify opportunities to apply data-driven and AI-based solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, product development, and resource conservation.

Daily tasks include collecting and cleaning data from various internal systems, building and evaluating machine learning models, and creating prototypes for AI applications such as predictive maintenance, demand forecasting, and process optimization.



The role involves deploying and monitoring AI solutions in collaboration with IT and operational staff, documenting technical approaches, and presenting insights to stakeholders in clear, practical terms. The AI Generalist will also stay updated on AI and IoT trends relevant to industrial and infrastructure sectors and support training and knowledge-sharing within the organization.

Qualifications

- Proficiency in core AI and data skills, such as machine learning fundamentals, data analysis, and basic statistics.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages and tools commonly used in AI (for example, Python, R, SQL, and relevant ML libraries).
- Ability to work with industrial or IoT data sources, including sensor data, operational logs, and manufacturing process information.
- Skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, and translating business challenges into structured analytical or AI use cases.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams and present findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting systems, or other industrial domains is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and basic software deployment concepts is beneficial.
