Job Objective:
The incumbent will be responsible for Quality, Food safety & Legality of the products produced & dispatched from all WICC facilities. Also, to ensure the quality processes & procedures serve its mission, strategic plan & operational needs of the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities :
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Standard
- Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) across WICC facilities, ensuring accountability of quality in production process.
- Drive long-term quality improvement initiatives, provide support to quality assurance for strategic development, and foster continual improvement in relationships with business partners, including suppliers and contract manufacturers. Facilitate complex problem-solving and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, customer requirements, and company policies regarding food safety and quality for all supplied goods.
- Develop and review SOPs, ensuring adherence throughout the organization. Continuously assess the existing quality system and make recommendations for enhancements.
- Conduct trend analyses upon request, identifying and addressing both positive and negative system trends proactively.
- Enhance food safety and quality systems and process plans, offering support and expertise in these areas.
- Provide technical guidance and advice on food safety and quality, including legal requirements.
- Maintain relevant documentation as part of the quality system and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Analyze information and product specifications to ensure regulatory compliance for all products and services handled at the site.
- Lead risk mitigation efforts related to potential product recalls.
- Provide leadership and support for quality improvement projects and daily preventative controls to mitigate hazards from raw materials, ingredients, and processing facilities.
- Offer leadership and development opportunities in quality control through training to cultivate an effective quality team.
- Ensure all current projects and initiatives in office adhere to food safety and quality standards, customer requirements, and the development and tracking of site quality improvement plans.
- Achieve quality objectives across all plants, measured by metrics such as customer complaint frequency, product evaluation scores, audit scores, and quality systems compliance.
- Meet set targets for quality objectives, including zero food safety complaints and non-conformities of internal audits not exceeding predetermined thresholds.
- Develop action plans to promote and enhance quality concepts across all departments.
- Promptly escalate significant product quality issues to the reporting quality management authority and submit all necessary quality reports for management review.
- Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and ensure their continuity.
Oversee QC staff in investigating customer/consumer complaints using root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive measures within the required time frame. Analyze complaint trends.
- Recruit, motivate, and develop QC personnel to ensure effective staffing and future team development. Ensure food safety and quality training is comprehensive for all employees.
- Establish a culture of learning and development within the quality department by encouraging participation in skill-building activities and recognizing achievements through rewards and recognition programs.
- Facilitate cross-training initiatives to broaden the skill set of QC & other production personnel's and ensure redundancy in critical roles.
- Collaborate with HR to identify training needs and develop customized training plans for employees at all levels within the organization.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through regular evaluations and feedback mechanisms, making adjustments as needed to ensure maximum impact on employee performance and organizational goals.

Work Experience : 15 - 18 years of manufacturing experience in FMCG/Food Processing/Agri Processing. Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing leadership role. Preferred Age : 35- 45 years
Qualification: Master's Degree (M.Sc./M. Tech.) in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, (B .Tech / B.E) in Food technology .
Professional certifications in HACCP, Lead Auditor, BRCGS, Internal Auditor, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing will be preferred.
Language: English and Malayalam or Tamil language other north & south Indian languages would be additionally advantageous
