Description Engineering role focused on building Tamil-language assistive AI for farmers, with evaluations, guardrails, and cost discipline from day one. The work centers on a read-only operations copilot, document generation, and safe AI boundaries.

Role: Agentic AI Engineer

Location: Chennai

Experience

- 3–5 years in software
- At least one LLM feature shipped to real users
- Experience with prompt and tool-use design
- Experience with agent loops
- Experience writing and running evaluations and guardrails
- Ability to explain model trade-offs, batching, and caching with a real budget
- Interest in Tamil; reading it is enough to start
- Willingness to sit with farmers and listen to what they actually ask

Responsibilities

- Own the assist service end to end
- Build Tamil chat help
- Build a read-only operations copilot
- Build document generation
- Build the evaluation and guardrail layer behind the service
- Create an evaluation set of at least a hundred Tamil questions
- Publish a pass rate for the evaluation set
- Run evaluations in the pipeline rather than by hand
- Enforce hard per-user and per-day caps at the gateway
- Set a budget alarm at sixty per cent of the monthly allocation by day fifteen




- Measure voice booking assist with real farmers in Erode before release
- Keep AI out of money, dispatch, and safety paths
- Ensure generated text never contains a number the system did not compute

Additional Responsibilities

- Ensure AI stays permanently out of every money, dispatch, and safety path
- Prevent the voice booking assist from auto-submitting anything
- Work on a hard language problem with real users
- Sit with farmers and learn what they actually ask
