AFTERMARKET SALES ENGINEER POWER GENERATION / CPP

Location: New Delhi | Department: Aftermarket Sales | Experience: 1–5+ Years

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an Aftermarket Sales Engineer to strengthen our Aftermarket Sales & Service team. The role will focus primarily on developing aftermarket business in the Power Generation and Captive Power Plant (CPP) sector, including NTPC, State GENCOs/SEBs, PSUs, IPPs and private power customers. The position involves developing business for spare parts, services, repairs and maintenance requirements while providing customers with technically sound and solution-oriented support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop aftermarket sales for spare parts, services, repairs and maintenance contracts.
- Identify new aftermarket opportunities from existing installed equipment as well as new customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with power-sector customers through regular visits and follow-ups.
- Provide technical and consultative sales support and understand customer requirements.
- Identify suitable spares, replacement requirements and service opportunities and prepare accurate quotations.
- Follow up enquiries, quotations and orders to achieve assigned sales targets.
- Coordinate with Service and internal teams for service requirements, quotations, execution and customer support.
- Proactively develop business with NTPC, State GENCOs/SEBs, PSUs, IPPs and CPP customers.
- Coordinate internally for timely order processing, invoicing, delivery and resolution of customer issues.
- Prepare customer visit reports, sales reports and periodic management updates.
- Travel across India as required for customer visits, business development and aftermarket activities.
- Contribute to overall team and company sales objectives.

INDUSTRY & CUSTOMER EXPOSURE Candidates with experience and customer contacts in the following segments will be preferred:

- Power Generation and Captive Power Plants (CPPs)
- NTPC and NTPC Joint Ventures
- State Electricity Boards / State GENCOs
- Central and State PSUs
- Independent Power Producers (IPPs)
- Private Power Plants
- Captive power plants of Steel, Mining, Metals, Cement and other process industries

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute.
- 1–5+ years of experience in industrial, technical or aftermarket sales.
- Experience in Power Generation / CPP aftermarket sales will be strongly preferred.
- Experience selling pumps, vacuum equipment, rotating equipment, process equipment or industrial spares will be an advantage.

- Solid customer relationship management and communication skills.
- Good technical understanding of industrial equipment and basic troubleshooting.
- Robust commercial, negotiation and sales skills with a genuine interest in business development.
- Self-driven, disciplined and capable of working independently with minimum supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India.
- Existing relationships with Power / CPP customers will be an added advantage.
