Job Summary

College Guru is hiring an Admission Counsellor / Academic Counsellor to join our Admissions Team.

We are looking for enthusiastic, confident, and target-oriented candidates who are interested in education, counselling, sales, and student engagement.

Freshers with good communication skills are welcome to apply. Candidates with experience in admission counselling, academic counselling, education sales, telecalling, customer service, business development, or EdTech will also be considered.

Training and guidance will be provided to suitable candidates.

We guide students through various academic programs and support them throughout their admission journey.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle prospective student enquiries through phone calls, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
- Manage inbound and outbound leads effectively.
- Understand students' educational background, interests, and career goals.
- Identify student requirements and recommend suitable academic programs and courses.
- Explain course details, eligibility, admission procedures, and other relevant information.
- Counsel students and parents and assist them in making informed academic decisions.
- Follow up with prospective students regularly through calls and WhatsApp.
- Convert qualified enquiries into successful admissions.
- Achieve assigned monthly admission and revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate lead and student information in the CRM.
- Update lead status, follow-up details, and conversion status regularly.
- Coordinate with the Admissions, Academic, and Operations teams for documentation and student onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and parents.




- Participate in webinars, seminars, admission campaigns, and promotional activities.
- Ensure a smooth and professional admission experience for students.

Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- Freshers to 3 years of experience can apply.
- Candidates with experience in admission counselling, academic counselling, education sales, telecalling, customer service, business development, or EdTech will have an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good listening, counselling, convincing, and negotiation skills.
- Strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a target-oriented environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to work from the office in Kalamassery, Kochi.
