Key Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

Maintain books of accounts and accounting records.

Ensure accurate posting of receipts, payments, purchases, sales, and journal entries.

Monitor general ledger, cash book, and bank book.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.

Monitor customer outstanding amounts and collections.

Prepare ageing reports and follow up on overdue payments.

Banking & Cash Management

Monitor daily bank transactions and balances.

Perform bank reconciliation.

Manage cash flow and daily fund requirements.

GST & Tax Compliance

Ensure timely GST returns, TDS payments and returns.

Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants.

Maintain supporting documents for statutory compliance.

Payroll & Employee Payments

Coordinate salary processing with HR/payroll.

Verify salary-related deductions such as PF, ESI, TDS, etc.

Ensure accurate and timely salary payments.

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and cash-flow reports.

Provide MIS reports to management.

Analyse expenses, revenue, profitability and variances.

Budget & Cost Control

Assist in preparing annual budgets.





Monitor actual expenditure against budget.

Identify unnecessary expenses and opportunities for cost reduction.

Audit & Compliance

Coordinate internal, statutory and tax audits.

Maintain vouchers, invoices, ledgers and supporting documents.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Team Management

Supervise accountants and accounts executives.

Allocate work and review their performance.

Establish proper accounting controls and procedures.

Management Support

Provide financial information for management decision-making.

Identify financial risks and irregularities.

Advise management on cash flow, expenses and financial controls.

Important Skills

Tally / ERP / SAP / accounting software

Advanced MS Excel

GST, TDS, PF and ESI knowledge

Financial reporting and MIS

Budgeting and cost control

Bank reconciliation

Team management

Robust analytical and communication skills
