: Accounts Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Executive to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the Trust. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and transparent financial reporting in line with Trust regulations and donor/grant requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts (cash book, bank book, ledgers, journal entries) in Tally/ERP software
- Record and reconcile all income (donations, grants, rent, interest) and expenditure entries
- Prepare and maintain vouchers, receipts, and supporting documentation for all transactions
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure compliance with Trust-related regulations (Income Tax Act provisions for Trusts, Section 12A/80G, FCRA if applicable)
- Prepare and file TDS returns, GST returns (if applicable), and other statutory returns within due dates
- Assist in Trust audit and coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audit
- Maintain records for Trust registration, renewal, and regulatory filings (e.g., with Charity Commissioner)
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income & Expenditure Account, Balance Sheet, Receipts & Payments Account)
- Prepare budget vs. actual reports and MIS reports for Trustees/Management
- Track donations, grants, and fund utilization; prepare donor/grant-wise utilization reports
Fund & Donation Management
- Maintain donor records, issue donation receipts (with 80G details where applicable)
- Track corpus fund, restricted and unrestricted funds separately
- Monitor fixed deposits, investments, and interest income of the Trust
Payments & Banking
- Process payments to vendors, staff salaries, and other Trust expenses
- Manage petty cash and reimbursements
- Handle banking transactions, cheque issuance, and online fund transfers
Coordination & Administration
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities
- Support Trustees in preparing financial data for Trust meetings
- Maintain proper filing and record-keeping (physical and digital) of all financial documents
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting (B.Com); M.Com or additional certification (Tally, GST, Taxation) preferred
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with an NGO/Trust/Society
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software
- Working knowledge of Trust accounting standards, Income Tax provisions for charitable Trusts, GST, and TDS
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience working with religious, educational, or charitable Trusts
- Familiarity with FCRA compliance (if Trust receives foreign contributions)
- Honesty, integrity, and a service-oriented attitude
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
