About the Role
Our Client is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to support its finance function from India while closely collaborating with the finance and leadership teams in the United States. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, coupled with a sound understanding of US accounting principles (US GAAP). This role requires excellent financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a global business workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete accounting cycle in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee General Ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, standard costing, BOM costing, overhead allocation, and variance analysis.
- Analyze production costs, inventory movements, and plant performance to improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cost planning, and profitability analysis.
- Coordinate with the US Finance team on reporting, compliance, audits, and financial planning.
- Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with corporate financial policies.
- Drive process improvements, ERP optimization,
and automation initiatives.
Desired Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6–10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to US accounting practices.
- Hands-on experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance.
- Experience working with US-based stakeholders or multinational manufacturing companies will be highly preferred.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, engineering, electronics, precision components, or capital equipment industries.
- Exposure to global finance operations, shared services, or multinational manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial process improvements is an added advantage.

Work Schedule: The position is based in India and follows Indian working hours (IST). The role involves regular interaction with colleagues and stakeholders in the United States; therefore, flexibility to attend occasional meetings outside normal business hours, when required, is expected.
