Role Description The A Level Science Tutor will deliver concept-focused, exam-oriented instruction in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology to A Level students.

Responsibilities include planning and conducting live lessons, developing structured lesson plans and assessments, and adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs. The tutor will monitor student progress, provide regular feedback to learners and parents, and support exam preparation through practice papers, doubt-clearing sessions, and targeted revision.



The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to align content with curriculum standards and maintaining accurate records of sessions and student performance.

This is a part-time work from home role.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in A Level Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, student-friendly manner.
- Proven teaching or tutoring experience at the A Level or equivalent, with familiarity in international curricula (such as Cambridge or Edexcel) and exam preparation strategies.
- Effective instructional and classroom management skills, including lesson planning, use of digital teaching tools, and facilitation of interactive, concept-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage learners online and in person, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with parents and internal teams.
- Comfort with technology and online platforms, including video conferencing tools, digital whiteboards, and learning management systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field; formal teaching certifications or training in pedagogy are an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible schedules to support students in different time zones, and commitment to maintaining a professional, learner-centered environment.
- Prior experience in online or blended learning environments and an interest in innovative teaching methods will be considered an asset.
