Role Overview: MES Opcenter Developer

We are looking for a highly experienced Siemens Opcenter MES Developer / Technical Lead with 4+ years of experience in MES application development and implementation. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Opcenter/Camstar Designer, Portal Studio, MIO/CIO, and proven experience delivering complex, enterprise-level MES solutions.

The role requires a combination of deep technical expertise, solution design capability, manufacturing domain knowledge, and the ability to lead technical teams and customer engagements.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on Opcenter/Camstar expert who can independently handle Designer + Portal Studio + MIO/CIO, lead MES solution development and integrations, troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, and provide technical leadership across large-scale MES implementations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, customize, and implement Siemens Opcenter/Camstar MES solutions.
- Lead end-to-end MES development activities including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Provide strong hands-on expertise in Opcenter Designer, Portal Studio, MIO/CIO and MES workflows.
- Design and develop MIO/CIO interfaces and integrations between MES and ERP, PLM, equipment, PLC/SCADA and other shop-floor systems.
- Develop and customize Portal Studio applications, screens, workflows, services, APIs, and business logic.
- Perform factory modeling, process modeling, workflow configuration, and MES solution customization.
- Analyze complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide effective technical solutions.
- Participate in MES upgrades,



migrations, enhancements, integrations, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with business, manufacturing, IT, automation, and other cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable MES solutions.
- Review technical designs and code, establish development standards, and ensure quality of deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior and mid-level Opcenter developers.
- Support customer discussions, technical workshops, estimations, solution discussions, and implementation activities.

Must-Have Technical Skills
- 4+ years of overall software/MES experience, with significant hands-on experience in Siemens Opcenter/Camstar.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Siemens Opcenter / Camstar Designer
- Portal Studio
- MIO / CIO
- Camstar/Opcenter workflows and modeling
- Proven experience in end-to-end MES implementation and customization.
- Strong understanding of MES architecture, manufacturing processes, Factory/Process Modeling, WIP, genealogy, equipment and production tracking.
- Strong experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Web Services / Web API.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server / Oracle and SQL queries, stored procedures and database concepts.
- Experience with XML, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with ERP, equipment and shop-floor system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting and production-support experience.
