Senior Product Design Engineer – UX, Frontend & AIExperience:5–7 YearsLocation:Delhi/NCREmployment Type:Full-timeEnvironment:High-growth, AI-first startupAbout the Role We are looking for aSenior Product Design Engineerwho sits at the intersection ofproduct design, user experience, frontend engineering, and AI .This is not a traditional UX/UI role where designs are handed over to engineering.We are looking for someone who canunderstand a product problem, design the experience, prototype the solution, build the frontend, and ship it .You should be equally comfortable openingFigma and React, using AI coding tools to move faster, and working with founders and engineers to take an idea from a rough concept to a working product.At 5–7 years of experience, we expect you to bring strong product judgment, design maturity, technical depth, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup.What You’ll Own1. Product Experience & UXOwn end-to-end user experience across mobile and web products.Convert ambiguous product ideas into clear user journeys, flows, wireframes, prototypes, and working experiences.Identify friction across onboarding, discovery, engagement, conversion, retention, and monetization journeys.Use user behavior, analytics, research, and experimentation to improve product experiences.Understand the difference between a visually attractive interface and a product experience that actually performs.Work directly with founders and product teams on zero-to-one product thinking.2. Product & Interface DesignCreate high-quality interfaces usingFigma .Build and maintain scalable design systems, components, tokens, variants, and interaction patterns.Design responsive experiences across different screen sizes and devices.Create interactive prototypes for rapid product validation.Maintain consistency while allowing the product to evolve quickly.Have strong judgment around typography, hierarchy, spacing, interaction design, motion, and visual storytelling.3. Frontend Engineering You should be capable ofbuilding what you design .Develop production-quality interfaces usingReact.Js .Experience withNext.Jsis strongly preferred.Build reusable, modular frontend components.Work comfortably with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar systems.Integrate frontend experiences with APIs and backend services.Understand state management, routing, authentication, responsive behaviour, and application architecture.Optimize interfaces for performance, accessibility, scalability, and different device conditions.Work effectively with backend and platform engineers when deeper engineering support is required.4. AI-Native Product Development We want someone who doesn't simply "use ChatGPT."You should understand how AI is changing the way products aredesigned,



prototyped and developed .Use AI coding environments such asCursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar toolsto accelerate development.Use generative AI tools for rapid prototyping and product exploration.Be comfortable with the concept ofvibe coding, while still understanding the underlying code being generated.Prototype AI-powered product features quickly.Understand basic LLM concepts including prompts, context, APIs, structured outputs, latency, hallucinations, and model limitations.Have experience, or solid working knowledge, of integrating LLM APIs into product experiences.Design AI-native experiences such as assistants, conversational interfaces, recommendations, intelligent search, personalization, and generative workflows.Understand that AI UX is probabilistic and requires different thinking from conventional deterministic interfaces.5. Rapid Prototyping & Experimentation You should be able to move from:Idea → Figma → Prototype → Code → User Feedback → Iterationwithout requiring multiple teams and handoffs.Build functional prototypes in hours or days rather than weeks.Use AI and low-code/no-code tools where appropriate.Know when something needs production-grade engineering and when a prototype is sufficient.Run rapid experiments before committing significant engineering resources.Be comfortable throwing away an approach when the data or user feedback says it isn't working.6.
