The Business Consultant – Treasury/Investment acts as a consultant and system implementation specialist, either as a sole contributor or part of a larger team. The role involves managing client requests and requirements through a structured methodology, ensuring solutions meet client needs, knowledge is transferred, and best practices are adhered to. Assignments may be on-site or remote, requiring flexibility and willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and analyze client requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases, and other methods.
- Perform workflow and gap analysis, documentation, and optimization based on client business rules and transactions.
- Prepare structured official documentation, including analysis and build documents, BRDs, UAT test cases, and training materials.
- Liaise with business stakeholders, users, and representatives to validate inputs and results of proposed changes.
- Implement Islamic Banking applications, performing gap analysis, SIT, UAT, and production support either remotely or on-site.
- Provide training to customers and internal teams on solution functionalities.
- Mentor junior members by sharing expert knowledge and guidance.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to troubleshoot system issues and deliver solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT delivery teams to ensure specifications are accurately translated into effective solution designs.




- Conduct validation tests and participate in user acceptance testing during iterative implementation cycles.
- Adhere to company rules, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

Investments / Assets Domain (Preferred)

- 5+ years experience with market instruments (Islamic/Conventional): shares, bonds/sukuk, derivatives, and commodities.
- Portfolio and fund management, market trading flows, custodian management.
- Limits management (portfolio, dealer, broker, transaction, security, sector).
- Concepts of mark-to-market, revaluation, amortization, accruals, collateral management, cash margin.
- SWIFT payments for securities, portfolio performance reporting.

Treasury Domain (Preferred)

- 5+ years experience with treasury instruments (Islamic/Conventional): money market products, FX trading (forwards, swaps, promissory FX), derivatives, front-office/back-office operations.
- Limits management and reporting of currency positions, cash management, precious metals, syndications.
- Experience with Islamic treasury products (Musharaka, Wakala, Murabaha, Tawaruq) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg or Reuters platforms and integrations.
