# Job Description: Playwright Automation Tester (Internship Program Mentor)

## Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced **Playwright Automation Tester** to lead and mentor a hands-on internship program for aspiring automation testers. The ideal candidate will design and deliver daily coding challenges, conduct live training sessions, and guide interns through end-to-end test automation, BDD frameworks, and interview preparation — helping them build job-ready automation skills.

## Experience Required

- **5–8 years** of hands-on experience in test automation, with strong expertise in **Playwright** (or similar tools such as Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO)

- Proven experience designing and executing **end-to-end (E2E) test automation** frameworks

- Prior experience **training, mentoring, or conducting technical sessions** (internship batches, corporate training, bootcamps) is a strong plus

## Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct daily/weekly internship sessions (**2–4 hours/day**) covering Playwright fundamentals through advanced automation concepts

- Design practical coding challenges and real-world automation assignments to strengthen interns coding and automation skills

- Build and demonstrate **BDD-style test frameworks** (e.g., Cucumber/Playwright-BDD) with reusable, maintainable test architecture

- Teach and guide interns on writing automation scripts using **TypeScript / JavaScript**

- Cover complete **end-to-end testing** concepts: UI automation, API testing integration, test data management, reporting, and CI/CD basics

- Conduct **mock interviews, technical Q&A;, and interview preparation** sessions (automation concepts, coding rounds, scenario-based questions)

- Review intern code/assignments, provide feedback, and track individual progress





- Create structured learning material, session plans, and evaluation rubrics for the internship curriculum

- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve the internship curriculum based on industry trends and hiring needs

## Required Skills

- Strong hands-on expertise in **Playwright** (or equivalent automation tool) with **TypeScript/JavaScript**

- Solid understanding of **BDD frameworks** (Cucumber, Gherkin syntax, or similar)

- Experience with **end-to-end test automation** — UI, API, and integration testing

- Strong grasp of automation framework design (Page Object Model, data-driven/keyword-driven approaches)

- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills — ability to explain concepts clearly to learners at varying skill levels

- Strong problem-solving mindset and passion for mentoring/teaching

## Valuable to Have

- Working knowledge of **Python** for automation (optional but preferred)

- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)

- Exposure to cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Sauce Labs)

- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification

- Experience creating recorded/self-paced learning content

## Engagement Details

- Daily engagement: **2–4 hours/day** for internship session delivery

- Format: Live sessions + hands-on coding challenges + code reviews + mock interviews

- Deliverables: Structured curriculum, weekly progress reports, intern evaluation, interview-readiness assessment
