hands-on Head of Finance & Accounts

to independently manage the complete finance and accounts function for a high-volume, multi-branch, cash-intensive business.The role will cover

accounting, financial reporting, taxation, statutory compliance, treasury, cash & inventory controls, MIS and budgeting . The candidate will work closely with senior management and will be responsible for maintaining financial accuracy, robust controls and timely compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial ReportingOwn end-to-end accounting, including general ledger, branch accounting and consolidationManage monthly, quarterly and annual closingPrepare financial statements, MIS and management reportsMaintain reconciliations, provisions, accruals, prepaids and fixed asset recordsEnsure books are accurate, current and audit-readyTaxation & Statutory ComplianceOwn GST compliance, reconciliation and returnsManage TDS, advance tax, income tax returns and tax auditsHandle tax assessments, notices and departmental queriesManage ROC and Companies Act-related complianceCoordinate with statutory, tax and internal auditorsBranch, Cash & Inventory ControlsManage daily financial reconciliation across multiple branchesMonitor cash collections, payouts and branch-level transactionsOversee accounting of high-value inventory throughout the purchase, movement and realisation cycleEnsure adherence to financial SOPs,



approval processes and cash limitsConduct/coordinate branch audits and physical stock verificationInvestigate and close financial discrepanciesTreasury & BankingManage daily cash flow and working capital requirementsHandle banking relationships and payment operationsForecast cash requirements and ensure adequate liquidityMonitor credit facilities, limits and banking covenantsTrack working-capital impact of inventory/price movementsMIS, Budgeting & Business SupportPrepare annual budgets and track actuals versus budgetDevelop branch-level profitability and cost reportsAnalyse financial variances and provide actionable insightsSupport senior management in pricing, expansion and business decisionsTeam ManagementLead and manage a small accounts teamEnsure timely completion of accounting and compliance activitiesMaintain high standards of accuracy and accountabilityCoordinate with operations, HR, auditors, consultants and bankersCandidate RequirementsQualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory4–5 years of post-qualification experienceStrong hands-on experience in

accounting, taxation, statutory compliance and financial closingMust have independently owned a complete

closing and compliance cycleStrong knowledge of

GST, TDS, Income Tax and Companies Act complianceExperience in

cash management, reconciliations and inventory accountingExperience managing a

small finance/accounts teamStrong understanding of

MIS, budgeting and financial analysisProficiency in

Tally or equivalent ERP and Advanced ExcelComfortable working directly with

senior management/promotersStrong communication skills in
