Position SummaryThe Psychology Teacher & Behaviour Counsellor will play a dual role involving academic teaching and student wellbeing support. The candidate will teach Psychology while also supporting students with behavioural, emotional, social, and attention-related challenges through counselling, observation, and intervention strategies.
The role requires a compassionate skilled with strong psychological understanding, classroom management skills, and experience working closely with adolescents in school environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Psychology TeachingTeach Psychology to middle school, high school, or senior secondary students as applicableDesign engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum requirementsConduct assessments, projects, presentations, and classroom activitiesSupport students in developing critical thinking, emotional awareness, and self-management skillsMaintain academic records, reports,
and student progress documentationB. Behaviour Counselling & Student SupportObserve and identify behavioural, emotional, social, or learning-related concerns among studentsConduct one-on-one counselling and behavioural support sessionsSupport students with stress management, emotional regulation, peer relationships, motivation, and attention challengesDevelop intervention strategies and behaviour support plansWork collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school leadership regarding student wellbeingConduct wellbeing workshops, life-skills sessions, and awareness programs
Eligibility CriteriaPhD or Master's in Psychology / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Educational Psychology or related fieldMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in teaching and/or student counsellingPrior experience in schools, international schools, or adolescent counselling preferredStrong understanding of child and adolescent behaviourAbility to build rapport with students, parents, and educatorsPreferred SkillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong classroom management and counselling abilitiesEmotional intelligence and empathyAbility to handle sensitive student matters professionallyWorkshop facilitation and student engagement skillsKnowledge of behavioural interventions and wellbeing practices
