To establish and grow Supervital Agro's market presence by developing a strong distributor/dealer network, generating primary and secondary sales, conducting farmer-development activities, managing field sales personnel and achieving sustainable territory growth.
As an early member of the sales team, the ASM will play an important role in building the company's distribution network and sales processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities1. Distributor & Dealer Development
- Identify potential distributors, dealers and agri-input retailers.
- Conduct market surveys and map potential dealers taluka-wise.
- Appoint suitable distributors/dealers according to company policy.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with channel partners.
- Ensure adequate product availability across assigned markets.
- Develop new markets and previously uncovered territories.
- Track dealer activation, billing and repeat orders.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Generate primary sales through distributors/dealers.
- Drive secondary sales and product movement at retailer level.
- Prepare territory-wise sales plans.
- Identify high-potential crops, markets and seasons.
- Coordinate seasonal product campaigns.
- Follow up enquiries and convert them into orders.
- Monitor dealer inventory and minimise unnecessary stock accumulation.
3. Farmer & Field Marketing
- Organise farmer meetings, field demonstrations and product awareness programmes.
- Identify progressive farmers and suitable demonstration plots.
- Work with technical/agronomy personnel for product trials.
- Develop farmer references and testimonials.
- Visit villages and agricultural clusters with dealers and Field Officers.
- Build awareness about correct product usage and application.
4. Field Team Management
- Supervise Sales/Field Officers working under the ASM.
- Allocate territories and weekly market routes.
- Review daily field activities.
- Accompany Field Officers on joint market visits.
- Train team members on products, selling techniques and dealer management.
- Review individual targets and performance.
5. Collections & Commercial Discipline
- Monitor dealer outstanding payments.
- Ensure collections according to company credit policy.
- Coordinate with accounts and dispatch teams.
- Avoid excessive credit exposure.
- Monitor claims, schemes, discounts and dealer incentives.
6. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor products, pricing, dealer margins and schemes.
- Identify new products and market opportunities.
- Monitor competitor field activities.
- Collect feedback from dealers and farmers.
- Submit structured market intelligence reports to management.
