About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Gold Jewellery Merchandiser to join our growing jewellery brand. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in gold jewellery sourcing, buying, supplier management, product development, merchandising, and collection planning.

The candidate should have a strong understanding of gold jewellery designs, market trends, pricing, customer preferences, and vendor networks, along with a willingness to travel across India for sourcing and exhibitions.

Key ResponsibilitiesGold Jewellery Sourcing & Procurement

- Source quality gold jewellery from reputed manufacturers, wholesalers, and suppliers across India.
- Identify and develop relationships with new gold jewellery manufacturers and vendors.
- Negotiate product pricing, making charges, wastage, quality, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
- Source exclusive and commercially viable gold jewellery collections.
- Evaluate products based on design, craftsmanship, price, quality, and customer demand.

Merchandising & Collection Development

- Research current gold jewellery trends, designs, and customer preferences.
- Plan collections for daily wear, bridal, festive, wedding, and special occasions.
- Identify fast-moving designs and emerging market trends.
- Maintain the right product mix based on sales performance and customer demand.
- Coordinate with design, marketing, sales, and inventory teams for new collection launches.
- Recommend new product categories and designs based on market requirements.

Supplier & Vendor Management

- Identify,



evaluate, and develop reliable gold jewellery suppliers.
- Visit manufacturing units and supplier facilities when required.
- Assess vendor capabilities, product quality, craftsmanship, pricing, and delivery performance.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely delivery.

Market Visits & Exhibitions

- Travel across India to attend jewellery exhibitions, trade fairs, sourcing events, and supplier meetings.
- Identify new manufacturers, designers, collections, and sourcing opportunities.
- Keep track of regional jewellery trends and changing customer preferences.
- Represent the company professionally during supplier meetings and exhibitions.

Pricing & Commercial Planning

- Monitor gold market prices and their impact on jewellery pricing.
- Compare vendor pricing, making charges, wastage, and other commercial factors.
- Ensure products are commercially viable and aligned with company pricing strategies.
- Support purchase and management teams in making informed buying decisions.

Inventory & Product Planning

- Coordinate with purchase, inventory, and sales teams for product planning.
- Analyse sales performance and identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Plan procurement based on demand, seasonality, and stock requirements.




- Maintain an appropriate product mix while minimizing excess or slow-moving inventory.
- Maintain accurate product and vendor records.

Requirements

- 3–8 years of experience in Gold Jewellery Merchandising, Buying, Sourcing, or Procurement.
- Strong knowledge of gold jewellery designs, manufacturing, pricing, making charges, and wastage.
- Experience in supplier sourcing, vendor negotiation, and product procurement.
- Good understanding of bridal, festive, daily-wear, and contemporary gold jewellery.
- Solid knowledge of jewellery market trends and customer preferences.
- Willingness to travel frequently across India.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems is preferred.
