Openhouse is looking for enthusiastic and engaging teachers to conduct 1:1 Music classes for children in and around Sarjapur, Bangalore. The teacher should have robust musical ability in at least 2 of the following: Ukulele/Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, Western Vocals. Classes will be conducted at students' homes.
Key Responsibilities 1. Conduct engaging 1:1 Music classes at students' homes using the Openhouse curriculum.
- Teach singing, rhythm exercises, musical concepts and instrument-based activities.
- Adapt sessions based on the child's age, skill level and learning pace.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and the Openhouse team.
- Conduct trial classes for interested families when required.
- Prepare students for performances.
- Attend periodic teacher training sessions and team meetings.
- Maintain punctuality and professionalism while visiting students' homes.
Time Commitment: Any 5 days a week | Approx. 20 hours per week - Weekdays: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM - Weekends:
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Teachers can choose their preferred working days based on availability.
Location: Currently hiring for Sarjapur and nearby areas.
- Classes will be conducted at students' homes.
- Students will be assigned within nearby areas wherever possible to minimise travel.
- Candidates should be comfortable travelling locally.
Additional candidate preferences: 1. Passionate about teaching music to children.
- Strong musical ability in at least 2 of the following: Ukulele/Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, Western Vocals.
- Comfortable working with children aged 5–12 years**.
- Able to engage young learners through songs, rhythm and musical activities.
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable interacting with parents.
- Prior music teaching experience and formal music education/certification are preferred.
